Laurie Harrison


Laurie  Harrison holds the position of Director, Online Learning Strategies at the
University of Toronto with oversight of learning solutions, services and
processes to support the academic and administrative needs of the institution.
Laurie has had extensive leadership experience in the field, having coordinated
many initiatives related to eLearning processes in her previous role as Director
IT unit at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Laurie is also
a Ph.D candidate in educational research, with a focus on institutional
adaptation to the changing landscape of online learning and the impact of the
Massive Open Online Course phenomena on institutional strategy. She has been
closely involved in the establishment of the Open.Utoronto initiative
at the University of Toronto.
